2418: ‘You’ve Got Another Thing Comin’’

2418: ‘You’ve Got Another Thing Comin’’ and ‘Painkiller’ are songs by what British metal band?

A. Sure, we could assume everyone knows that both of these songs are by Judas Priest, but hey, not everyone was born in the late 70s! Not everyone has seen an episode of the classic Headbanger’s Ball, or read an issue of Hit Parader, or bought a Poison record at a drug store in the mid 80s (that was me haha).

:: “(‘Painkiller,’ released in 1990) is the band’s twelfth release, and the first with drummer Scott Travis (Racer X) from Virginia, the first non-Briton to become a member of Judas Priest,” wrote Markus Johansson in Skull Toaster email #818.

:: “Their only song to chart on the Hot 100 is 1982’s “You’ve Got Another Thing Comin'” (No. 67),” Billboard

:: “‘Painkiller’ was the final ‘Priest release to feature vocalist Rob Halford until his return in 2005,” Markus Johansson again in Skull Toaster email #818.

:: ‘Screaming for Vengeance’ is their best selling album, certified double platinum in the US in 2001.
